SPRING 2011 HAIKU PIX CHAPBOOK CONTEST AWARDS

 

Haiku Pix Review is pleased to announce the winners of the Spring 2011 Haiku Pix Chapbook Contest. The Editors judged. Two ex-equo winners were selected:
 

Following the Moon to the Maple Land by Chen-ou Liu of Ajax, Ontario, Canada
Blyth's Spirit by Neal Whitman of Pacific Grove, CA
 

The winners will share the US$200 award. We'll be publishing these chapbooks in July 2011, so keep an eye out for the releases on our website! You can receive a copy upon release by becoming a supporter.


The Editors have also awarded ten Honorable Mentions (in alphabetical order). Runners-up may be offered publishing contract:

FALL 2011 HAIKU PIX CHAPBOOK CONTEST
 

Haiku Pix Productions announces its Fall 2011 Haiku Pix Review Chapbook Contest for a collection living up to the review's credo: “No haiku, but in pictures.” Enter brief poems, employing the haiku technique of juxtaposition of images geared to evoke emotion.
 

Prize: $200, publishing contract, and 10 chapbooks. Plus five Honorable Mentions. Reading Fee: US$20 (entry includes a one-year subscription to Haiku Pix Review). Deadline: October 1, 2011.
